Last week saw the Nintendo Wii U get its detailed list of launch titles as well as its official price and release date information, and this week at the Tokyo Game Show the console already saw some dedicated hardware coming its way in the form of the Turtle Beach Ear Force NLa and N11 headsets. These new headphones will be able to connect to the console via the 3.5mm input available on the Wii U’s GamePad controller.

First among the two is the Ear Force NLa which is said to combine high-fidelity stereo game audio with crystal-clear communication. It will be made available in both black and white colors and will even come with an in-line volume control remote and noise-isolating ear cushions. The NLa has been equipped with a 4-pole connector which can easily be disconnected from the Wii U GamePad in order to use it with portable devices like the 3DS and the DS.
“The Wii U launch will prove to be one of biggest gaming console events of the year and we couldn’t be more excited to support Wii U with dedicated headsets. The advanced capabilities of the Wii U system offer us the chance to deliver gamers the kind of quality they fully expect from both Turtle Beach and Nintendo,” shared Bob Picunko, Chief Marketing Officer of Turtle Beach.

Out of the Turtle Beach Ear Force NLa and N11 headsets, the N11 will be doled out only in black color, and will comprise acoustically angled 50mm speakers that supposedly deliver extended bass with greater dynamic range. It will be fitted with a fully adjustable headband and breathable mesh ear cushions. This headphone too will ship with the 4-pole connector which can be found on the other hardware.
The price and release date details of the Turtle Beach Ear Force NLa and N11 headsets are out now. They will be launched for the Wii U sometime in Q4 of this year with their prices set at 34.95 USD (approx. Rs. 1,865) and 49.95 USD(approx. Rs. 2,665), respectively.
