Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 delivers performance for under 200 dollars

The problem with getting the best in graphical performance is that the experience doesn’t come cheap. The price tags attached to high-end graphics cards skyrocket. Now Nvidia has announced something for both high-end as well as cost conscious gamers. The GeForce GTX 460, the latest edition to its Fermi-class of GPUs, delivers DirectX 11 gaming but is priced in the 199 USD range, something the company claims is the market’s “sweet spot”.

Built for DirectX 11 tessellation, the GeForce GTX 460 GPU is capable of up to 4 times tessellation performance over what the company calls “competing GPUs”. Either way next-generation DX11 gaming is brought to a new price segment.
