Asus Launches new ENGTX400 Series Graphics Cards

Asus has released its new ENGTX400 series graphics cards which build upon Nvidia’s latest generation of graphics processors, giving gaming enthusiasts and overclockers total gaming immersion. Two graphics cards in the series have been launched, the ENGTX480, Asus’ flagship model in the range, and the ENGTX470.

Commenting on the launch of these graphics cards, Mr. Vinay Shetty, Country Head, Component Business, Asus (India) said, “The new Asus ENGTX400 Series graphics cards utilize the latest Nvidia GPU and provide enhanced performance with unique Asus features. These cards will cater to discerning users looking for ultimate performance and the latest in graphics technology.”

The new graphics cards debut Nvidia’s 40 nm GPUs. The ENGTX480 features 1401 stream processors and 384-bit memory interface. It has a 700 MHz core clock and 1536 MB of 3696 MHz GDDR5 memory. The ENGTX470 on the other hand comes with 1215 stream processors, a 607 MHz core clock and 1280 MB of GDDR5 RAM at 3348 MHz with a 320-bit interface.

Both the new graphics cards come with Asus’ new technology to help in best overclocking results. The Smart Doctor application allows for exclusive Voltage Tweak functionality. Design Garage, another software tool demonstrates the capabilities of DirectX 11. The cards also come with Nvidia Cuda technology and DirectCompute parallel processing, as well as the exciting Nvidia 3D Vision technology, all giving better gaming and multimedia experiences.

The Asus ENGTX470 is available for a price of Rs. 31,225 while the Asus ENGTX480 is available for Rs. 44,775, both excluding taxes. The graphics cards carry a three-year warranty.
