Mad Catz Interactive has earlier released some interesting peripherals for many different consoles. The company lately released a limited edition ‘Femme Fatale’ Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick: Tournament Edition. It now comes out with the Rock Band Wireless Wooden Fender Stratocaster replica guitar. The latest offering is compatible with the Xbox 360.
Among other music and rhythm games, the guitar controller can also be played with Rock Band, Rock Band 2 and The Beatles: Rock Band. The Stratocaster is a 1:1 replica of the well-known musical instrument. Authentic Stratocaster wooden blanks are used for the body, neck and headstock of the guitar. Genuine metal parts and fittings are used for the Bridge and Tuning Keys.
The musical controller sports a hand-painted Three-Tone Sunburst design complete with a highly buffed gloss finish. All this is applied within a span of eight days just like a real Stratocaster electric guitar. The parts are assembled at a Fender Manufacturing facility as well. A high-resolution ‘Rosewood’ finish decal can be espied on the guitar’s neck hiding two sets of premium Fret Buttons.

The Wireless Wooden Fender controller uses the very same secure wireless technology integrated into the official wireless Xbox 360 controller. The accessory does not need any adaptor or external dongle to function as it connects directly to the console. The premium Strum Bar and Fret Buttons are play tested and provide gamers with reliable gameplay especially in Expert Mode.
The Start and Back Buttons on the front of the guitar are disguised as Tune and Volume controls. Located near these buttons is the Fender Stratocaster Whammy Bar. The latest product also includes the traditional ¼ inch output jack where the Rock Band Electro-Harmonix Overdrive Pedal. This enables players to activate Overdrive while they strum away to the catchy tracks in the game. The guitar comes complete with an official Fender guitar strap and three AA batteries. At the bottom of the instrument is a headset socket which is ideal for online play and communicating with friends.
The Rock Band Wireless Wooden Fender Stratocaster guitar controller can be acquired from the Mad Catz Rock Band Store. The company has already begun shipping the product to stores across the US for a price of 299.99 USD (approx. Rs.14,619).
