Saitek Acquired by Mad Catz

Saitek Mad CatzThird-party accessory providers Mad Catz has stated that they have acquired Saitek, who specialize in making gaming accessories for the PC. In fact, Saitek has a leadership position in flight simulation controllers and has established a strong position in keyboards for PC games.

Eric Winkler is the founder of Saitek. Mad Catz has paid around 30 million to acquire Saitek, who have generated over $43 million of net sales and its gross margins. This is not this first time this year that Mad Catz have bought a firm. In September 2007, Mad Catz acquired Joytech from Take Two.
