Wii Zapper to be Launched in November 2007 by Nintendo

Earlier this year, Nintendo had unveiled many new accessories for the Wii at E3 2007 and Wii Zapper was one of them! Now Nintendo has sent word that the Wii Zapper will be released in November 2007 and will be packed with Link’s Crossbow Training, which is based on the Legend of Zelda series.

The best thing about the Wii Zapper is that the casing accommodates the motion-sensitive Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers in a single unit for precision targeting. Even third-party publishers have come up with products for the Wii Zapper. EA’s Medal of Honor Heroes 2, SEGA’s Ghost Squad as well as Capcom’s Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles will let gamers fully exploit the Wii Zapper. However, Link’s Crossbow Training will ship with the Zapper. Here are some details about Link’s Crossbow Training:

Link’s Crossbow Training drops gamers into a world in the style of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Gamers assume the identity of hero Link, who progresses through a series of tests to perfect his crossbow marksmanship. Start with stationary bull’s-eyes and graduate to moving targets before defending Link against all kinds of enemies.

George Harrison is Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications. He quotes, “The Wii Zapper combines our remarkable controllers into one housing with a classic style reminiscent of arcade-style games. Both veteran and first-time players will find it brings a whole new dimension to games where targeting is key and offers even more exhilarating game-play experiences.”

The Wii Zapper by Nintendo will be available from November 19, 2007. It will cost $19.99 (approx. Rs. 800).
