Microsoft Announces Limited Edition Simpsons Xbox 360

Limited Simpsons Xbox 360 It looks like everyone is catching up with the Simpsons video game fever. Now Microsoft has sent word that they would be coming out with a limited edition of the Xbox 360 that would be based on the Simpsons. Only a hundred of these yellow next-gen consoles will be made.

Microsoft also stated that games based on the Hollywood blockbusters would be finding their way to the Xbox 360. Here are the details of those particular titles:

  • Shrek the Third (Activision); May 15, 2007; $49.99 (approx. Rs. 2000)
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (Disney Interactive Studios); May 22, 2007; $59.99 (approx. Rs. 2450)
  • Ratatouille (THQ Inc.); June 26, 2007; $49.95 (approx. Rs. 2000)
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (EA. and Warner Bros.); June 25, 2007 $59.99 (approx. Rs. 2450)
  • These games will release around the same time the movie releases. Duncan Mackenzie, Xbox Dad columnist and family gaming expert says, “These action-packed Xbox 360 games let kids and adults alike take all the adventure and enthusiasm of this summer’s hottest films home with them. I can’t think of a better way to spend some quality time with the kids than to turn our favorite movies into an interactive experience, chatting and laughing as we take on the role of our much loved characters.”

    As for the limited Simpsons Xbox 360, Microsoft has not released any pricing details of the console, which has been made as Xbox 360 is collaborating with FOX to help promote ‘The Simpsons Movie’. Anyway, whatever the price is, there is going to be a frenzy on online auctioning sites as people would love to get their hands on the Simpsons Xbox 360.
