Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Rebellion for mobile platforms, drawing comparisons to 2015’s Fallout Shelter, and more so because Behaviour Interactive which helped Bethesda is involved in the development of the upcoming title too. This strategy RPG will be free to play and hit Android as well as iOS.
Assassin’s Creed Rebellion is currently in development. So it might be some time before it is released for mobile. Ubisoft has mentioned that you will need at least 2GB of RAM and Android 4.1 to play it. iPhone and iPad users will have to upgrade to iOS 8 as a minimum requirement.
The game is set in the 15th century in Spain during the Inquisition. The primary task of the player is to build a brotherhood while simultaneously managing the headquarters ”“ adding rooms and so on. There are 40 Assassin characters to pick from including old favorites and new ones.

Ubisoft says that new Assassins can be unlocked via Legacy or Story missions (by collecting DNA samples). Loot missions earn players building material, while standard missions are good for helping gamers upgrade their Assassins. So the types of missions you participate in will count.
Gamers can only take up to 3 Assassins per assignment. Some characters and skill sets are better suited to certain missions. Additional rooms and other content are made available to players as they level up. Ubisoft highlights the ‘new artistic direction’ it has taken for this particular game.
And sure enough, the characters in Assassin’s Creed Rebellion look like anime-cartoon mashups. And as mentioned above, it has veered away from action-adventure and taken the strategy RPG route. It’ll be interesting to see if it does as well as Fallout Shelter.
