Pokemon Go to get over 80 new Pokemon this week

There’s awesome news for those who are still investing their time in Pokemon Go after all these months. The makers of the extremely popular mobile game have confirmed that more than 80 new Pokemon are set to be added into it via an update slated to arrive this week.

These will be from Generation II which means they are those included in the Pokemon Gold and Silver games from back in 1999. And once the update is applied, all these critters will be discoverable inside the game straightaway. This is unlike previous updates wherein the few newly added Pokemon were only available via eggs.

And there’s more to the update than that. As reported by TechCrunch, a fresh set of evolution items will also be provided for gamers, apart from a couple of new types of berries called Nanab and Pinap. Moreover, avatar items and a sort of a new ‘encounter gameplay’ mode will be added as well.

What’s missing though is any mention of PvP battles which have since long been under demand from ardent fans. It’s hard to predict when they will be delivered exactly.

Pokemon Go wreaked havoc in the mobile gaming scene when it was released last year, but over the months, the interest of many of its fans has faded. Nevertheless, there is still a massive crowd that plays the game religiously, and they will be very happy with the arrival of the more than 80 new pocket monsters to the arena.
