Pokemon Go now getting second holiday update

Those who are still playing Pokemon Go have just been made a happier bunch by developer Niantic. The makers have released a fresh update to the title, which marks its second special holiday upgrade.

Under it, a number of Bronze, Silver and Gold boxes will be available to snatch in Pokemon Go. If you manage to grab one of them, you will receive goodies like incense, lure modules, lucky eggs, Poké Balls and even Great Balls.

Prior to this, Niantic had Special, Great and Ultra Boxes which came with incubators, incense, Great Balls and Ultra Balls. This was the first among the two holiday updates and lasted from December 25 to December 30.

As for the second and latest one, it was made available on December 30, and will stay online till January 3, which is tomorrow. Apart from these, Pokemon Go players can even avail of discounts on items sold in the in-game store.

The highly popular AR game which Pokemon Go is, was launched to immense excitement back in July last year. Its unique gameplay involves roaming around the in the real world searching for pokemon, and catching them through an AR interface that’s triggered when a creature is around.

It was only in December last year, that Pokemon Go made its way into India. It was launched in partnership with Reliance Jio, which turned many of the stores and partner outlets of the telecom operator into PokeStops and Gyms.

Like we said, the second holiday update for Pokemon Go will only be available until tomorrow.
