Based on Rocksteady Studios’ extremely successful title released in October this year, Batman: Arkham City Lockdown has now been made available for the iPad, iPhone and the iPod Touch. Stunning graphics and original combat gameplay that have been crafted exclusively for these devices are apparently on offer to gamers who download this app.
This new title has been developed for mobile devices by the folks over at NetherRealm Studios, who are known to be the faces behind this year’s Mortal Kombat. Akin to the original game, Arkham City Lockdown features several bad guys, including The Joker, Two-Face and Solomon Grundy. Apart from these, an iOS-exclusive character, Deathstroke, also forms a part of the game.
Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios, explained, “We here at NetherRealm Studios are huge fans of Batman: Arkham City, and we were very excited to develop Batman: Arkham City Lockdown to extend the franchise experience to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The app delivers a different take on Batman gameplay in which players must combat against some of the fan favorite villains in Arkham City.”
Numerous Batman skins and power-ups would also be accessible through this app. Moreover, gamers who possess iOS 5-enabled devices, will be able to utilize the software’s AirPlay technology. This trait would allow them to wirelessly stream the game from their iPad 2 or iPhone 4S to their HDTVs by using Apple TV.
Batman: Arkham City Lockdown can now be purchased through the App Store for the iPad, iPhone and the iPod Touch at a price of 3.49 GBP (approx. Rs. 283).
