Xenoblade Chronicles Hitting North American Shores Next Year

An epic clash between man and machine, is what the maker of Xenoblade Chronicles is describing this title to be. Already released in other territories, this RPG will be making its North American debut next year for the Nintendo Wii.

In this game, players will be required to wield their Monado blade to fight off a large number of invading Mechon robots. The protagonist a weapons researcher named Shulk who must deal with the Mechon threat by utilizing the ancient blade, as it is the only thing that has an effect on these machines.

Various customization options too are on offer through this title. Gamers can endow their characters with numerous weapons, armor choices as well as headgear, boots and gloves. Moreover, as this is an RPG, leveling up the character and gaining experience forms a large part of this game.

This title also kicks in a huge open world environment that can be explored by gamers when they are completing their main campaign, or while looking for other challenges and side quests. Moreover, hidden areas and monsters are said to be present all through the game’s universe.

Xenoblade Chronicles will be released in North America via GameStop and Nintendo retail stores at a price of 49.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,568). The title’s GameStop listing points out a February 4, 2012 release date.
