Lost Planet 2, the Akrid-filled sequel to the 2006 video game is scheduled to touch down in both North America and Europe on May 18, 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. In the game players control their heroes through 6 interconnected episodes, which makes for a very interactive experience, said to change based on the player’s actions. The game also features online multiplayer in teams of up to four players on Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network.

Capcom also has a rather strong spring line-up of fighting titles. Super Street Fighter IV will release for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on April 27, 2010 in North America and on April 30, 2010 in Europe. The game is a follow-up to the critically acclaimed Street Fighter IV and is set to redefine the 2-D fighting scene. Super Street Fighter IV packs in a host of new features including new characters, new ultra combos, and new online modes, plus the return of the famed bonus stages and retuned online and offline gameplay. It even features all new user selectable Ultra Combos and advancements to online gameplay and matchmaking.

Another one of Capcom’s fighting titles is Final Fight: Double Impact. The game is a dual release of two classic arcade side-scrolling beat-em-ups, and is scheduled to launch as a downloadable game on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. Final Fight features heart-pounding adventures of Cody, Guy and Haggar. The second title in the Final Fight: Double Impact package is Magic Sword and will have players defeating the dark lord Drokmar. Players will be accompanied by eight allies on their way, who will assist and lend their specific skills and abilities. The game is a classic side-scrolling action title illustrated in fantasy stylings. Final Fight: Double Impact is expected to release sometime in April 2010; exact release dates are not known.
