Yuji Naka to Present Ivy the Kiwi? at Eurogamer Expo 2010

Earlier this month, gaming giants unveiled various details about their upcoming offerings at the recently concluded Tokyo Game Show 2010. Now, it is time for another destination to host the gaming fanfare and demonstration. Rising Star Games has revealed that developer Yuji Naka will don the role of a key speaker at this year’s Eurogamer Expo. It has also been announced that attendees of the event will get a glimpse of the yet-to-be released Ivy The Kiwi?

Ivy The Kiwi?

Designed for the Nintendo DS and Wii, Ivy the Kiwi? displays storybook adventures of a baby bird. Facing challenges on the way to reach her mother, the bird will fly over artistic 2D landscapes. Gamers will have to direct Ivy on this journey with the help of a unique control scheme.

“We’re delighted to announce Yuji Naka will be taking part in a Developer Session at Eurogamer Expo this year,” beamed Martin Defries, Managing Director, Rising Star Games. “It’s a major coup for us and testament to the importance on the upcoming release of Ivy The Kiwi? on Nintendo Wii and DS.”

Rupert Loman, Managing Director at Eurogamer, explained, “It’s fantastic to have a games developer legend like Yuji Naka coming to the UK and we are delighted he has chosen Eurogamer Expo to showcase his new title.”

In the title, they can create and control vines to collect feathers for enlarging their scorecard. Embracing over 100 stages, the game will flaunt multiplayer modes while allowing players to indulge in Mini version of the title which will be released through DSiWare. This edition of the game will come with 50 unique levels.

‘Ivy The Kiwi?’ is expected to hit stores for the Wii and Nintendo DS this Autumn. The Eurogamer Expo will be held from October 1 to October 3, 2010 in London.
