Tremendous amount of interest in creating Mass Effect film: BioWare

Gamers all over the globe are highly anticipating the arrival of the Mass Effect sequel to hit stores this month itself. While the wait is on, they can espy some interesting news based on the original acclaimed game. Casey Hudson, project director of the forthcoming game Mass Effect 2, reveals that Hollywood has expressed its interest in making a Mass Effect movie.

Project director Casey Hudson told MTV, “Obviously we have a tremendous amount of interest from people in Hollywood to make a major motion picture about Mass Effect. The most important thing for us is, we don’t just want to see a movie get made. We want to see a great movie get made, if it’s going to get done at all.”

Before getting the fans’ completely excited, Hudson also reveals that they may have to wait a little while longer to see their game hitting the silver screen. He adds, “We’re just looking at our options there, but waiting to make sure we have something really right before we do it.”

With this revelation, its looks like it will be some time until a Mass Effect movie makes its way into the theaters. Until then, players can look forward to the release of Mass Effect 2 this month as well as loads of DLC. Mass Effect 3 is expected to unfurl onto consoles either late next year or early 2012.
