True Life is the documentary series on MTV in which each episode focuses on a different topic. Now as Kotaku notes, MTV is looking out for people who are addicted to video games, to feature in a True Life episode on game addiction.
The Casting Call seeks those people, whose need for gaming destructively interferes with their normal functioning in society, who may have been confronted by their families about their gaming habit, who have neglected work for games and who feel they may need rehab to kick the addiction.
The episode is to be called “True Life: I’m Addicted to Videogames” and the casting call is apparently open till November 10, 2009. So don’t expect to see the episode any time before that. This is not the first time the show has included in its episodes, topics related to gaming. In 2003 it ran an episode called “I’m a Gamer” while a 2005 episode was named “I’m a Professional Gamer”.
