EA has revealed that another Littlest Pet Shop game, titled Littlest Pet Shop Friends, is currently in development for the Wii and Nintendo DS, and is scheduled for a fall 2009 release. The game will be overflowing with new features that girls love, such as lovable pets and their pet best friends, delightful mini-games, an immersive story, a large number of accessories that can be customized and superb new graphics. The game will also let girls play together with cooperative play.
“Girls are going to have a blast playing Littlest Pet Shop Friends because it is all about hanging out with their best friends as they share pet collections, discover new towns, and play mini-games together,” commented Chip Lange, GM of EA’s Hasbro Division. “Our first wave of Littlest Pet Shop games performed exceptionally well and we have every confidence that Littlest Pet Shop Friends will take the franchise to the next level with regard to exciting new exploration, game play and ways to socially connect with friends.”

Littlest Pet Shop Friends on both the Nintendo DS and the Wii, will feature 16 new lovable pets for girls to play with such as a Great Dane, a lady bug and a peacock. Each pet has a unique personality and specific characteristics, and also a best-friend to add to the fun. The game draws inspiration from its toy counterpart and takes players on a magical journey gearing up for the most exciting Littlest Pet Shop party ever, by collecting party decorations, sending out invitations, and serving ice creams and cakes. Littlest Pet Shop Friends has a few surprises as a mystery guest drops by and players can give their pets unique gifts.
Exclusive pets for Littlest Pet Shop Beach Friends, Littlest Pet Shop City Friends, and Littlest Pet Shop Country Friends will be offered in the Nintendo DS version of the game. No price for Littlest Pet Shop Friends has been announced, but the game developed by EA Salt lake Studio will launch in the fall of this year.
