Aspho Fields is a science fiction book based on the successful Gears of War series. Written by Karen Traviss, the book covers the story between Gears of War and Gears of War 2. We have word that a second book based on the series, titled Gears of War: Jacinto’s Remnant will hit stores towards the end of July.
The book explains the events that happen after the end of the second game and depicts humanity’s epic battle for survival in the Gears of War universe. In a move to stop the Locust Horde, the Coalition of Ordered Governments has no other choice but to destroy mankind’s last city, Jacinto. As the last of the survivors flee the city, they are caught between the vengeful Locust and the inhospitable wilderness. Dom Santiago, Marcus Fenix and their fellow Gears step up to help the people take refuge in someplace safe.

The book will release along with a new add-on pack for the Xbox 360 titled Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection. This add-on pack includes all previously released game DLC including Dark Corners, the new Road to Ruin campaign chapter and a total of 19 maps.
Gears of War: Jacinto’s Remnant by Karen Traviss will go on sale July 28, 2009 and will be priced at USD 15 (approx. Rs. 720). The Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection will be available on Xbox Live starting from the same day, and will cost 1600 Microsoft points.
