It seems that Steven Spielberg has started one really amazing trend. Gaming companies go and rope in ace Hollywood directors, who put in some creativity to make a game and gaming companies also use their brand name to market it. Now it has emerged that the director of 300 will be making games for Electronic Arts.
EA has collaborated with Zack Snyder and under the deal with Cruel & Unusual Films, the director of the forthcoming Watchmen film will be working on the creative direction of three games at EALA. Frank Gibeau is the president of EA Games Label. He says, “Zack Snyder has a fresh and bold creative style that resonates with our core audience. Zack is the perfect partner for joining us in creating powerful new interactive fiction.”
Zack Snyder too seems excited as he explained, “I think video games are cool because they offer an opportunity to tell a story in an entirely unique way. Being a long time fan of the games EA creates, I look forward to collaborating with them.” He should be excited as there is further possibility that the games are made into movies.
