This decade has seen video games surpassing many records in the entertainment industry and games like Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto IV and Metal Gear Solid IV got a great reception from the gamers. Now Stan Lee has said that video games have gone beyond movies.
Gaming news website Eurogamer.net is reporting that Stan Lee stated at Comic Con 2008, “When you talk about games evolving over the years and becoming more like movies, in many ways, they have gone beyond movies. To do a movie is difficult, but it’s linear. There’s a beginning, a middle and an end, and that’s it – you write a story.”
According to Lee, in a video game, many stories are being written within the story. The Spider-man creator mentioned that it is a totally different philosophy of writing and structure and he thinks that it is a very difficult one. Also, Stan Lee said that more work goes into video games then it goes in movies.
