Earlier this year we had reported that a Korean gaming company called as Dragonfly had licensed the Unreal Engine 3. Now one more Korean-based company has decided to use UE 3. T-Entertainment, who are based in Seoul, have sent word that they have licensed Unreal Engine 3 from Epic Games for a forthcoming project, which is codenamed L2.
Jay Wilbur, VP, Epic Games says, “T-Entertainment is a well-diversified entertainment company that is poised to launch yet another successful MMORPG worldwide. We are continuously improving the Unreal Engine, and look ahead to providing them with cutting-edge game development tools and technology for many months to come.”
John Hong is the CTO of T-Entertainment. Hong commented, “We have a team of seasoned professionals dedicated to L2 project, and we are certain that by integrating our expertise and Unreal Engine 3’s excellent performance, L2 will be a top-tier MMORPG that fascinates gamers all around the world.”
L2 is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that has a futuristic fantasy with a taste of space opera. The game is scheduled to be out for the PC in 2010. The MMORPG is expected to be released all over the world.
