British PM Worried about Videogames

Gordon Brown It is a known fact that politicians are not big fans of videogames. Politicians all over the world have used the subject of violence in videogames as a factor for many crimes. In fact, when Tony Blair was the PM of Great Britain, he had spoken about the Church – Resistance: Fall of Man issue.

Now the present British PM, Gordon Brown has also spoken on videogames and says that he is worried about them. Gordon Brown told The Sun newspaper, “I am very worried about video and computer games. No one wants censorship or an interfering State. But the industry has some responsibility to society and needs to exercise that.”

Gordon Brown was speaking on the knife crime epidemic in Great Britain. He said that they would be ordering the police to act against anyone carrying a blade in a massive crackdown. He has also asked game designers to stop showing characters using blades in their video game titles.
