Dream teams in the video gaming world are rare but this one sure promises to be great one! BioWare as well as LucasArts have sent word that they have gotten into a deal to come up with an interactive entertainment product. It will be developed and published by BioWare and LucasArts.
Ray Muzyka is the chief executive officer of BioWare Corp. He says, “BioWare’s mission is to deliver the best story and character-driven games in the world, delivering powerful emotional experiences to our fans”
Greg Zeschuk, President, BioWare Corp said, “The collaboration with LucasArts allows us to merge our passion for creating high quality and innovative experiences with those of a company dedicated to bringing only the finest games to market.”
Jim Ward is the president of LucasArts. He quoted, “LucasArts has a deep commitment to developing compelling stories and characters for the exceptional medium of interactive entertainment, and we have been searching for a developer that shares this value. We found this in BioWare. Through our previous collaborations, we know that BioWare has an impressive ability to blend gripping stories with technological advancements, and we believe that our upcoming product will deliver an experience that will span the traditional boundaries of video game entertainment.”
LucasArts and BioWare have said that they will be releasing more details about the product in some time. There are no words on which platforms will this new product release. There have been many speculations, but the strongest contender would be a new Star Wars MMO, but then, that is still a rumor. Keep watching this space as we will be following up on the story.
