Ubisoft has announced at the Ubidays event in Paris that they are going to produce a game based on the forthcoming Beowulf movie, which is being directed by Robert Zemeckis. He has previously worked on movies like the Back to the Future series, Death Becomes Her and Forrest Gump.
The announcement came at the end of the conference in Paris. Alain Corre, executive director EMEA told the audience, “We are releasing a game based on the new Hollywood blockbuster from Paramount, Beowulf. This game should re-invent the hack-and-slash genre.”
The Beowulf movie has a big huge star cast including Anthony Hopkins, Robin Wright Penn and John Malkovich and Angelina Jolie will be voicing one of the lead characters. Besides the Beowulf announcement, Ubisoft showcased games like Word Coach, My Life Coach, Jam Sessions and Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway at the Ubidays event in Paris.
