Amongst all the many rumors of its existence has emerged definitive proof that Destiny 2 is indeed being developed by Bungie. However, there are no real details about this sequel available, except for a teaser image of the game’s logo which has been tweeted by its official Twitter account.
This picture seems to be depicting Earth’s Last City, which has apparently been attacked. The makers of the game had earlier confirmed that it’s in development, but they have never gone on to display any proof of it until now. Destiny 2, they had said, is likely to arrive this fall.
A poster of the game which had leaked earlier had said that it will arrive on September 8. It is most likely to be preceded by a beta release which will arrive on the PS4 first. This is no surprise since the original Destiny’s beta too was launched first for the PS4 and the PS3.
Apart from the Xbox One, this game is also expected to make its way to PC. This goes in hand with Activision’s recent statement that the sequel will look to broaden the appeal of the franchise. We also know now that while you won’t be able to transfer your progress from the first game, you will indeed be allowed to port your appearance.

The original Destiny was released by Activision back in September 2014. It’s an online-only multiplayer first-person shooter title set in a mythic science fiction world.
