The first piece of story-driven BioShock Infinite DLC which is to become part of its Season Pass is all set to be unveiled late in the month of July, Irrational Games has confirmed. There’s no word out on what sort of an add-on it will be, but the interesting part is that a past report had indicated that a new companion AI character, other than Elizabeth could be entering BioShock Infinite soon.

The news about the fresh content having been slated to be unveiled in July has come out through Joystiq, and it is none other than Irrational Games who has broken it to the website. No details about it have been revealed by the developers however.
Although the new BioShock Infinite DLC will be the game’s first story-driven add-on, it isn’t the first downloadable pack to have been granted to the title. Its Premium and Ultimate editions had shipped with added in-game boosts and items, and it was only late last month that all those were bundled together and released on Steam.
The new BioShock Infinite DLC is expected to be one of the three such planned additions to the game. Those who have purchased the Season Pass which has been priced at 19.99 USD (approx. Rs. 1,090) or 1,600 Microsoft Points will get a 30 percent overall discount on the add-ons, as opposed to buying them separately.
What had come to fore through a rumor about the BioShock Infinite DLC indeed had a lot of fans excited. Apparently, Irrational Games is currently working on creating another AI companion character to replace Elizabeth. The Linkedin profile of a senior animator at 2K Games, named Michael Shahan had pointed out that he was ”˜providing animation and R&D for a new AI companion character.’
We’ll have more on the game’s DLC as and when fresh information about it is released. The first-person shooter which had come out earlier this year had scored a perfect 10 in our review of it, and we highly recommend it to all.
