As evil forces lurking in the city of Gotham creep out, the Dark Knight will soon need to gear up for another fight. Warner Bros. Interactive and DC Entertainment have uncovered a new downloadable first-person shooter dubbed Gotham City Impostors.
“Gotham City Impostors blows apart expectations for superhero games with an exaggerated take on first person shooters, set in a part of the DC Universe players have never seen before. Monolith is creating a game that turns Gotham City upside down and we think fans are going to have a blast with this creative twist on multiplayer heroism and anti-heroism as they play up the classic rivalry between Batman and The Joker,” commented Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
This multiplayer game has been designed to enable players to participate in a battle spread across a deranged Gotham City. Invaded by impostors, this city houses varied characters influenced by Batman and The Joker. In the title, gamers can defy conventional norms by customizing their characters with unusual costumes, homebrewed devices and fierce weapons across numerous maps and modes.
Developed by Monolith Productions, Gotham City Impostors will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC.
