Fifteen years is indeed a pretty long time but some ways of the gaming terrain wouldn’t surprise many. And certainly not those who have been waiting to witness the next Duke Nukem adventure. 2K Games and Gearbox Software recently launched Duke Nukem Forever in the UK, unfurling a new journey as the lead characters takes on aliens on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K, remarked, “June 10 in the UK will forever be celebrated as the day that the legendary Duke Nukem Forever went from video game folklore to Earth shattering reality. For 15 years fans have waited in limbo just yearning to hear those two little lovely words strung together, Now Available. Today, the acronym ”˜DNF’ changes its meaning to a ”˜Day to Never Forget’. I am proud to announce that the wait is finally over and that Duke Nukem Forever is truly Now Available.”
Numerous developers entailed in the making of this installment include Triptych Games, Gearbox Software and Piranha Games. With a talented team embracing George Broussard involved in its development, the title is said to revive good old gaming days from the 90s. It has been plugged to deliver humorous gameplay with dynamic action as Duke leaps onto another exciting voyage.
Gamers across the UK, Australia, Europe and Japan can now grab a copy of Duke Nukem Forever. The title is set to reach North America tomorrow for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
