The Digital Extremes team has been reportedly working in collaboration with Kaos Studios to modify and refine many facets of Multiplayer for PC gamers. The developers have verified the utilization of Valve’s Steamworks. Moreover, as the team has been working on adding features for vehicle-control, Homefront will also be brought to PC with full Nvidia 3D Vision support. Gamers can steer all the in-game vehicles from the 1st person cockpit viewpoint in addition to the third-person perspective, all in stunning 3D.

Extra control options have also been added for Helicopters to deliver a sim-like experience while the settings include Ace, Veteran and Rookie. The former two are focused on allowing either best maneuverability or a balance of difficulty and maneuverability while the latter is said to be at a ‘pick-up-and-play’ level of difficulty. Additionally, a Practice Mode has been integrated for players to get accustomed to vehicle controls at their own ease. More options incorporated in the PC version are supplementary abilities for co-pilots, like Recon function to the Scout helicopter or joystick control for all vehicles.

The developers have also implemented several gameplay alterations such as a Squad based VOIP, Squad Management system and Clan Support for PC along with the obvious usage of Valve Anti-Cheat to prune cheaters. A LAN and Multiplayer Match Recording feature has also been crafted into the game with an imminent Dedicated Server Browser Executable for enabling players to own their personal Homefront servers within two weeks after the game’s release.

With numerous other modifications and tweaks updating the final build of Homefront for PC, a release of March 8, 2011 in North America, March 10 in Australia and March 11 in Europe followed by a Japanese launch on April 29, 2011 can be officially anticipated. PC Gamers can also pre-order Homefront from Steam.
