Borderlands is the sci-fi first person shooter video game from 2K Games scheduled for an October 2009 release. And even before the game’s release Gearbox Software president, Randy Pitchford says that DLC for Borderlands is already in development. He surmises that “people are going to be surprised when they find out how quickly we’re coming, and with what content we’re coming” when it comes to the DLC for Borderlands.
“We’re going to watch and see what happens when the game launches, so we can have our plans affected by what our customers want more of,” speaking to Eurogamer, Pitchford said. “But we do have some plans for the initial stuff already in motion, and I’ll be announcing that soon.”
The game is apparently in the process of being certified by Sony and Microsoft and Randy Pitchford says that it is the best game he and his team have ever done and that everyone is extremely proud of it. Borderlands is expected to release to North America on October 20, 2009 and to the PAL territories on October 23, 2009.
