Microsoft had a lot of expectations from Halo 3 and the game did just that. However, though many people backed the shooter to be on top for a long time, it seems that the Xbox 360 gamers are looking out for something else! It has emerged that Call of Duty 4 has knocked off Halo 3 from the top spot on the list of most played Xbox Live games.
In terms of global unique users, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was trailing behind Bungie’s Halo 3 for some months on the weekly Xbox Live charts. However, it seems that 2008 is bringing a lot of good news for Activision as COD 4 managed to topple Halo 3 and go to the top of the list. Besides these two, Guitar Hero III, Gears of War and Rock Band are in the top five.
