The trailer of Halo Wars has been released. Mind you this is not Halo 3, it’s Halo Wars, a brand new Real-Time Strategy game by the creators of Age of Empires, Ensemble Studios. The trailer was first shown at X06 on 27, September 2006.
As Microsoft explains it, “Halo Wars places the player in command of human UNSC (United Nations Space Command) armies as they deploy for mankind’s first deadly encounter with the enemy Covenant forces.”
Halo Wars is being developed from the ground up exclusively for the Xbox 360. The game takes place before Halo 1 when the humans and Covenant only began to rage war. On the UNSC side, you’ll command the “Spirit of Fire” crew against the Covenant who has yet to be confirmed as playable.
