Capcom recently unleashed the fury of Super Street Fighter IV on Japan and North America. And now to grasp just how big the game is becoming, Capcom has announced that its initial shipment for Super Street Fighter IV has reached 1 million units worldwide.
Super Street Fighter IV introduces new characters and features something called the Replay Channel, with which players can view and upload replays of previous fights. Online modes in the game have been designed in such a way that they allow better communication between players around the world.
Street Fighter IV was a huge success and with Super Street Fighter IV, Capcom continues its support to fans of the series, which began back in 1987. There are new alternate costumes for all characters available as downloadable content.
With the announcement of an arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV Capcom continued support for the brand series lives on. As of March 31, 2010, Capcom’s Street Fighter series has shipped over 28 million units for home consoles worldwide.
