Capcom and Marvel Announce New Crossover Fighting Game Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Ten years after Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes was released, Capcom and Marvel Entertainment have revealed the latest iteration in their crossover fighting game series, titled Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. The “team fighting game for a new generation” lets players jump straight into the shoes of legendary characters from both franchises.

“We are so pleased to be working with Marvel again. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has been one of the most requested titles for us to produce by our fans,” Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development at Capcom stated. “Our Capcom development studio is creating the most epic fighting game ever developed and Marvel’s input into that process has been invaluable.”

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is scheduled to release for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in the spring of 2011. It will be the first Vs. Fighting game which is powered by Capcom’s MT Framework.
