THQ to give Wii All Star Karate

THQ is all set to follow up their 2008 All Star Cheer Squad videogame with All Star Karate for Wii. The game which is currently under development is claimed to be the first ever title on Wii to incorporate a karate-based gameplay.

The game extends optional Wii MotionPlus compatibility and can be played in single player or Career mode. Various karate moves have to be executed while using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk or alternately, two Wii Remotes.

Its plot trails along the life of a martial arts novice training under a sensei whom he meets while trying to save him from a group of ninjas. Players have to try their skills at attaining the seven different colored belts or achievement levels in karate.

Apart from that, gamers can also perform hand, blocking and kicking techniques by playing against another friend in Challenge mode or devising their own move sequences that may be performed with the Kata Editor.

Those eager to try out this game will have to wait until spring 2010 before THQ unleashes All Star Karate for Wii.
