In the past, Japan has been witness to loads of licensed Fist of the North Star games which were all based on the manga series bearing the same name. Now Tecmo Koei Europe along with NSP, the creators of the title in question, is set to unveil Fist of the North Star onto European shores packed with brutal hand-to-hand combat and merciless action.
The game is a successor to the past side-scroller titles that unfurled for the PlayStation 2 system as well as a coin-operated arcade rendition. This inclusion however features state-of-the-art physics, intense gore and combat elements which are all found in the series it’s inspired from. The upcoming brawler sees the planet Earth left in utter destruction post the nuclear holocaust. The remaining survivors try to form groups and live on just the little resources that are accessible to them. They are however being tormented by the nasty gangs that reside in the wastelands for resources or even just for fun. In response to the plight of the weak, a mysterious martial artist by the name of Kenshiro emerges. He is known to be the chosen successor of Hokuto Shinken which is The Divine Fist of the North Star.
Fist of the North Star comes to Europe packed with many new eye-catching features. The environments strewn all over the game are interactive as well as destructible. Players can use their surroundings to their advantage during a fight by either throwing their enemies into them or picking up objects which they can then hurl at their foes. Waves of enemies can be conquered with the help of string combos and attacks.
Loads of unlockable moves and deadly finishing attacks can be executed in order to annihilate entire gangs or a single enemy brutally. Gamers can also unlock characters like Rei and Mamiya among others who are plucked right out from the acclaimed Fist of the North Star universe. The level and scenes espied in the game are also truly inspired by the visual styles of the manga series. Each character has their own stories intact in addition to a new original story and ending which is specially fashioned for the title.
