Marvel vs. Capcom 2 Confirmed By Capcom, PSN Demo Revealed

Just recently we reported that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 looked likely to come to the XBLA if not the PlayStation Network. Finally Capcom has officially revealed on its Unity Blog that Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will be coming for the Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer.

The game will feature online play options, upscaled 1080p graphics and a 4 is to 3 aspect ratio. Also, there will be no unlockables in the game with all 56 characters unlocked right at the start of the game, and PS3 and Xbox 360 users will have custom soundtrack support and independent music volume controls.

As a bonus for PS3 users, John Diamonon from Capcom says on the PlayStation Blog, a demo will be released on the PSN this Thursday, April 30, 2009. The demo will support local two-player matches and seven environments which the player can select. It will feature six playable characters, Chun-Li, Iron Man, Ryu, Spider-Man, Strider and Wolverine. Diamonon says that the demo will be free and exclusive to the PSN.

When Marvel vs. Capcom 2 releases in the summer, it is expected to be available for 15 USD (approx. Rs. 750) on the PSN and for 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live.
