Tekken, the fighting game series, has been around for the past fourteen years and has sold in excess of 33 million copies worldwide. Not one to rest on its laurels, Namco Bandai Games Europe has announced two limited editions of Tekken 6. The Collectors Edition and Arcade Stick Edition will include the game in addition to a few special items.
The Tekken 6 Arcade Stick Edition will include an exclusively designed custom wireless arcade fighting stick. This edition will also include a 100 page art book containing images which depict the game’s story and give special insight about the game’s development and characters. On the other hand, the Tekken 6 Collectors Edition contains a one of a kind Tekken 6 hooded sweatshirt, 100 page art book and an exclusive poster.
Tekken 6 will be released on multiple platforms which is a first in the franchise’s history. It boasts of many character and gameplay enhancements, such as the King of the Iron Fist Tournament which makes a debut in this installment. The hybrid control system in the Scenario Campaign mode provides players with the freedom of movement along with the ease of using standard fight controls. Also, various machine guns, flame throwers, staffs and giant robots can be used to beat opponents senseless.
The story and characters come alive in the glorious high definition and the numerous gameplay modes, features and environments will have gamers coming back for more. Apart from introducing new customizable characters with deadly fighting styles, the game also features a multiplayer gameplay mode where fans can battle against their friends.
Tekken 6 along with the Tekken 6 Collectors Edition and the Tekken 6 Arcade Stick Edition will release in Europe this autumn, while the prices have not been announced. All three editions of the game will be made available for Xbox 360 and PS3 systems.
