A few weeks ago, we had reported that Capcom had stated that Street Fighter IV for the consoles would be out in winter 2008. But that does not seem to be the case as the fighting game will be out next year. Capcom has revealed that Street Fighter IV will release in February 2009.
Fans of the Street Fighter series have been waiting for this game as it will feature the traditional 2D Street Fighter six-button gameplay but along with 3D characters and environment. There will also be new brawlers, gameplay elements in Street Fighter IV as well as new special moves.
Street Fighter IV for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 is expected to release in North America on February 17, 2009. The fighting game will then release in Europe on February 28, 2009. There is still no word from Capcom as to when the PC version of Street Fighter IV will be launched.
