Double Dragon Officially Confirmed for XBLA

Last week, we had reported that Double Dragon would hit the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA). Now Microsoft has officially confirmed that the fighting game will be available from today on the Xbox Live.

Double Dragon is about Billy and Jimmy Lee who are twins. They have been brought up on the mean streets and have expert knowledge of the ancient martial art of Sou-Setsu-Ken. To fight, Billy and Jimmy will make use of their feet, fists, elbows and whatever weapons come to hand to overpower the bunch of criminals that abducted Billy’s girlfriend.

Two-player co-op multiplayer locally or over Xbox LIVE

Special extras such as a look at the original Japanese and U.S. “Double Dragon” sales fliers

Double Dragon has been developed by Empire Interactive Limited and will go live at 2 a.m. PDT. The game comes with a price tag of 400 Microsoft points and will be available worldwide.
