Video game publisher Gastronaut Studios has sent word that they have put premium downloadable content and a free title update on the Xbox Live for the XBLA game, Small Arms. The DLC contains two playable characters, two distinctive battlefields and allows gamers to access two unique achievements.
The premium content will include two new characters, Gullarp, the bald wooly mammoth and Ivar, the saber-toothed tiger druid. Along with the characters there are new battlefields, Arctic Ice Floe and Pillaged Village. The achievements allow you to become an Honorary Barbarian by completing Mission Mode as any new character or launch a career as a Barbaric Recruiter by hosting a multiplayer game on any new battlefield. These updates will cost you 250 Microsoft points.
As for the title updates, there are new options that enable the in-game display of player indicators as well as Gamertags that help players navigate moments of intense action. They have also improved the frame rate and reduced the tearing. The leaderboards are smarter while the weapons balance is tighter. They have fixed a lot of bugs in the game.

Small Arms has been developed in-house by Gastronaut Studios. The downloadable content was uploaded yesterday on Xbox Live.
