When his own power to fight them fails he is given assistance from a member of the Soul Society, where he turns into a Shinigami. With his newly gained powers as a Shinigami he can take down Hollows in power-packed sword-fights which are found in plenty when you watch Bleach.
3. Soul Eater:
In Soul Eater also you will find good amounts of action and the main characters fight with their own weapons mates. The characters that you see in this one are studying and training to become vicious death weapon meisters at their academy that trains them for this.
You will find all sorts of evil demons and other demonic boss characters that appear during each episode and will end up admiring the way in which each character can slay a demon. They all have their own unique style of fighting and even their weapons match their personality.
4. Fate/Zero:
Fate/Zero takes you to a completely different universe altogether. In this world there is a War ensuing called the 4th Holy Grail War in which the greatest magicians will fight to obtain the Holy Grail. The reason the magicians or mages are willing to fight to death for this Holy Grail is because it has the capacity to grant one wish to winner.
So you will get to witness tons of intense magical battles between lots of different mage characters who are fighting to obtain this Holy Grail for their own purposes. And one such character is Kiritsugu Emiya who desires the Holy Grail to wish for an end to all the evil and chaos.
5. 07-Ghost:

There are two brothers who attempt to use this practice to revive their dead mother. But since they have no prior experience in using alchemy, their ceremony takes an awful turn and instead of reviving their mother a terrible nightmarish thing comes to life.
In the process one brother loses their entire body save for his soul which was saved by the other brother who had to sacrifice his arm. Now these two brothers will use alchemy fight all the evil beings that they come across, in their search to find the philosopher’s stone, which is the only artifact that can restore their bodies and their lives.
7. Claymore:
We have also mentioned this pick titled Claymore on our list of Anime like D. Gray-man as any fan of dark fantasy would love watching this one. In this story there are certain evil ghosts know as ‘yoma’ that go about feasting on human flesh. What’s worse is that these spirits have the ability to take the form of the people they have eaten making it easier to hunt for their next victim.
However, there is a group of specialist fighters known as Claymore that have the amazing powers to combat and kill yoma. But if they overdo the use of their powers they risk turning into these demons themselves.
