In Zombie Highway, you won’t be giving the undead the old one-two. Instead, you’ll be (presumably) running away for your life on an endless highway infested with zombies waiting to take you out. Before each level, you can choose your vehicle (there are 4 in total) and equip different weapons.

There are 16 guns in total with many more in the works and some of them need to be unlocked. The objective is simple – Speed down a straight highway and try to stay alive for as long as you can. Zombies will jump onto your vehicle and make you lose control, while hitting obstacles on the road will be an immediate game over.

There’s something about Into the Dead that just keeps us going back for more. It’s either the addictive, yet spooky gameplay or the chills we get while running past zombies in a very believable scenario where the gruesome sounds effects only augment the experience. Well, it’s probably both.

This title implements the same endless running gameplay where the further you go, the better your score gets. From open fields, to forests and corn fields, your goal is to avoid running into any zombie. You do get weapons along the way, but with very limited ammo. Also, getting caught means game over and it’s back to the start.

Death Road to Canada is certainly one Zombie game you should look forward to. Featuring old-school graphics like what you’d find in Nintendo’s GBA handheld, this ‘Permadeath Road Trip Simulator’ as described by its developer will have you exploring cities, searching for resources, rescuing as well as recruit survivors and most importantly, killing zombies.

The most exciting part is that all of this is randomized, which means you’ll get a different story on every run. Developed by Rocketcat, Death Road to Canada has been funded on Kickstarter and it’s expected to arrive soon for PC, Linux, Mac, iOS and Android.
