Slightly Mad Studios has revealed through a statement that the choice to delay the game was ‘not an easy decision to make,’ but it was made nonetheless as the extra days would allow the developers to provide a better experience to fans. The creators have moreover gone on to assure gamers that the ‘wait will be worth it.’

The CARS in this game’s name stands for Community Assisted Racing Simulator. This offering is being created to provide gamers with realistic driving simulation, and it aims to differentiate itself from titles like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport by featuring a ‘sandbox’ approach to gameplay. Under this move, players are given a chance to select between a variety of different motorsports paths, and are even granted immediate access to all included tracks and vehicles.
