A post on the official PlayStation blog has revealed that the Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition will be seen arriving through retailers on January 17, 2012. With its price tagged at 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,115), this version of the popular game will comprise additional features that weren’t a part of the original release back in November, 2010.
The XL Edition is all set to include almost each and every improved feature and functionality that was outed in the form of free downloadable game updates until now, including the update 2.02 which was released recently. And moreover, voucher codes that supposedly contain over 20 USD worth of DLC downloads would also make their way into this pack. Gamers can select from a variety of different DLCs that have been launched for the game. These include the Racing Car Pack, Car Pack 2, Course Pack, Racing Gear Pack and Paint Pack.
Brian Dunn, Associate Product Marketing Manager, explained, “The XL Edition will also feature a new reversible inside coversheet featuring the new Red Bull X2011 supercar, to add a different look to your game library shelf. You’ll be able to pick up the XL Edition of Gran Turismo 5 after January 17 for just 39.99 USD. Developed by Polyphony Digital, GT5 is a PS3 exclusive racing game involving more than 1,000 cars, over 20 locations with 70 plus track layouts. Gamers will apparently get to experience diverse racing styles including rally, track, karting, Nascar and more. Moreover, this game also features online multiplayer offerings.
Gran Turismo 5 XL Edition would be launched on January 17, 2012 and will be priced at 39.99 USD (approx. Rs. 2,115).
