Hello Games will Roll in Joe Danger: The Movie

Hello Games, developer of the successful PSN title Joe Danger, has announced a new game in the same series labeled Joe Danger: The Movie. Although no release date has been confirmed, the title is set to be unveiled at both the Gamescom 2011 and PAX Prime.

Gamers will be able to create their own action film in a scene-by-scene manner and at the same time, perform every stunt themselves. The crowd-pleasing stunts, if gone wrong can even lead the audience to cracking up. Hello Games claims the title to be capable of creating ‘ridiculous’ action sequences.

Sean Murray, Managing Director, Hello Games, revealed, “We’ve kind of gone a bit crazy in terms of ideas and scope, or at least I really hope we have. If you liked Joe Danger, then I think it’s going to rock your world. Even if you didn’t like it though, this is different enough that we might just win you over. That’s the idea, but like I say who knows, it’s a very different game, and no one but us has seen it yet.”

The earlier version involves gamers donning the role of Joe Danger, the world’s most determined stuntman as he tries to thrill the crowd and break World Records. The game can be paused at any point in order to edit the levels. The edited levels can then be shared online and also be used in multiplayer modes.

More details of Joe Danger: The Movie are yet to be announced. But if the poster is anything to go by, it is evident that the title will include activities like skiing, mine-cart riding, jetpack flying, and more. Hello Games has decided to stay mum about the platforms on which the game is expected to launch. However, they have made a ‘promise’ to deliver a surprise at Gamescom.
