Burnout Crash! to Hit PSN and Xbox Live This September

The folks over at Criterion Games are going digital for the release of Burnout Crash which is to be launched via PSN and Xbox Live later this month. Moreover, Kinect integration will be on offer to Xbox 360 owners with a special game mode designed exclusively for the motion sensing device. PS3 gamers would however receive no compatibility for their PS Move accessories.

The developers are claiming to have re-invented their ‘fan-favorite’ crash mode to offer something new to fans. Burnout Crash!, which was announced in July, will reward players for triggering traffic chaos by bringing about explosions and destruction. The gameplay of this title is apparently influenced by the ‘ease and excitement’ of pinball arcades, TV game shows and 80s pop music.

EA’s new social interaction system called Autolog would also be making its way into the game. This feature lets players connect and compare scores to face off against friends. Furthermore, through a new addition to this system, gamers will be able to send direct head-to-head challenges to their friends. The Autolog made its debut with EA’s much appreciated 2010 release, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

This new title will be integrated with three game modes and 18 crash junctions. In addition, a range of unlockable content too would be featured in the game. The game’s Kinect mode will allow 2 to 14 players to compete in battles on one television.

Burnout Crash! is set to be released via PSN and Xbox Live for the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems on September 20, 2011. It will be priced at 7.99 USD (approx Rs. 365) and 800 Microsoft Points for the respective platforms.
