After delivering an enthralling experience to racers on several video game consoles as well as iPhone and Windows PC, Split/Second will now be ported to the PSP system. Disney Interactive Studios has announced that gamers would soon be able to enjoy the arcade racing game on their PSP and PSP go systems.
As gamers load into the title on their PSPs, they will be transported to the fictional reality television show where they can indulge in faced-paced action. The aim is not just to win the race with the best timing but also showcase smart driving skills and activate ‘power plays’. This will produce dynamic actions like putting opponents off the track or even in complete alteration of the racing grid.
Craig Relyea, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing, Disney Interactive Studios, remarked, “Split/Second has become a hit with fans of racing and action games, and is the perfect fit for the PSP system. The explosive track altering features and fast arcade racing will have PSP system players worldwide playing it on-the-go or at home.”
The gamer’s performance in this version will be influenced by their skill to handle controls and swiftly formulate appropriate strategies. Split/Second for the PSP has been incorporated with exclusive new track and challenges while also allowing players to trigger several power plays on every track. Now, four PSP owners can compete together as the game is also embedded with four-player local multiplayer.
Crafted to enhance the racing experience, gamers can crash into other racers and spark off cinematic explosive events. With shrewd planning and accurate timing, gamers can also modify the track or create a new course altogether.
Disney has not declared the exact availability and pricing details of Split/Second. The game is however expected to arrive this holiday season.
