Need for Speed Shift Console Demo Coming October 1

Need for Speed Shift is the recently released and latest title in the NFS series from EA. Earlier we reported that the PC demo of the game was made available with the console demos coming in early October. Now Electronic Arts has announced that the console demo of Need for Speed Shift will be available for download starting from October 1, 2009, on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.

The demo features four drivable cars, the BMW M3 (E46), the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10, the 2006 Lotus Elise 111R, and the 2008 Nissan GT-R, plus the 2006 Pagani Zonda F which is unlockable. Also featured in the demo are the two tracks, the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and the city circuit of London River.

Need for Speed Shift features an all-new driver profile system, which takes into consideration the driver’s precision and aggression to hand out points. The game delivers an ultra-realistic driving experience with the cockpit view.

The PC demo is available at the game’s official website, while Need for Speed Shift is available for the PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PSP, and mobile, and will soon be available for the iPhone.
