Need for Speed Nitro Wheels its way into Stores

Need for Speed Nitro is the title for the Wii and Nintendo DS and was scheduled to release in November. Earlier we reported that the game had gone gold. Now Electronic Arts has announced that Need for Speed Nitro is in stores across North America and will hit European store shelves on November 6, 2009. The game has been developed specifically for the Wii and Nintendo DS platforms.

“Need for Speed Nitro pushes the limits of racing on the Nintendo platforms to deliver the ultimate racer of the holiday,” Joe Booth, Senior Producer said. “With deep track designs and intense speeds, as well as accessible controls, Nitro promises insanely competitive races that will appeal to all levels of players.”

Need for Speed Nitro includes cars such as the Tesla Raodster, the Pagani Zonda, the Audi R8 and the Nissan Skyline. Players even have the freedom to custom-design their own ride using an intuitive and deep customization system. The game also features a host of unlockable cars, and has a four player co-op career mode.

Need for Speed Nitro is available across North America and will be available in Europe starting from November 6, 2009, while prices for the game have not been announced.
